The SWAP program promotes sitting volleyball as a means of supporting children and young people with physical and mobility disabilities, offering them an inclusive platform for sports participation and social inclusion. Its goal is to raise awareness among coaches, physiotherapists, and health professionals about the benefits of sitting volleyball and to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to integrate it into rehabilitation and social inclusion programs. The program includes the development of educational materials on game rules, adapted training methods, injury prevention, and inclusive communication strategies. Through participation in sitting volleyball, young people enhance their self-esteem, self-confidence, and leadership skills, while fostering cooperation and teamwork. Overall, SWAP aims to broaden access to sport, promote inclusion, and empower the lives of people with disabilities in society.
